*Amanda & Sammy requested that photos of their guests be kept private, so this gallery won't feature many family, cocktail hour or reception dancing photographs, but rather the moments when Amanda and Sammy are the only ones in frame. Regardless of this making for a less detailed look into the wedding day, the beauty and joy of the day still shines through.*
Amanda & Sammy's wedding began at Hotel Ocho where the couple shared a first look on the street car tracks that luckily for them, weren't running that day and made for the sweetest city backdrop. After some private time following their giddy first look, they met with their families for portraits and regrouped for the ceremony as guests began to arrive.
So many personal details were included throughout the day that lent so much meaning to what are normally just regular wedding inclusions.
From the handmade candle sticks and flower vases that Amanda created in her frequented pottery studio. The table flowers that her mother grew in her garden all summer long. The Ketubah they signed that was painted by a dear friend. Floral arrangements made by another friend who came all the way from the east coast for their day. The paintings behind their head table that Sammys dad created decades ago. There was an endless amount of meaning to every element of A & S's wedding day, and was such a beautiful reminder that friends, family, and the love that surrounds them is at the heart of why they were standing there on that day.
The night proceeded on with live music, cocktails, fabulous food and so much laughter. From dinner to dancing, there was never a dull moment and Amanda & Sammy were seldom seen apart.
It was such a joy to be apart of this incredible day at one of my favourite venues in the city, and with two of the most genuine and cool folks I've gotten to know. Thank you for having me, "Samanda", I'll never forget this perfect day in September!
